Well, August was just one big adventure..... We took Conner to "That Famous Preston Night Rodeo". He loved it! And of course he loved the parades with all the candy. Grandma gave him a birthday present early...his Superman chair and he would sit between every handful of candy. He even sat through the rodeo. Thankfully Grandma was smart enough to get us reserved seats opposite from the carnival. Aunt Missy saved the day and got the kids a snow cone at the Carnival.

Then it was off to the races, getting ready for Mel's wedding I mean. Her new last name is Shashindranath. Sound it out and you will probably get it right. That was a lot of fun and turned out really beautiful, even if it was a little crazy. Our dresses turned out cute and fit Sara...so that made us all happy. It was a gorgeous day!

While I was busy with Mel's wedding, Steve and Conner went to my family reunion. What a good man I married. He went to the crazies while I stayed home. They had it at a lodge and it was a combination of my mom's dad's siblings and her mom's siblings and their posterity. I hear it was loads of fun. I got up early, early Sunday morning and made a road trip to make it for the brunch before most everybody headed home. So I at least got to see everyone. Conner loved going with the boys in Bompa's boat.

Then it was Conner's birthday. Talk about a fan....Conner (or maybe it is mom/dad) is a huge "Cars" fan...as in the movie. So for his birthday it was Cars clothes, Cars sheets, Cars dishes and snack cup, Cars underwear, Cars cupcakes, Cars suitcase, Cars cars and even a "Mater" cake....talk about an adventure....mommy and Conner spent a good four hours on that thing!
