Primary....here we come

Well, today Conner's nursery class went to Primary singing time to get the kids ready to go to Primary in January....yes, you read that right. He is going to be a Sunbeam in less time than it takes to eat Thanksgiving turkey and let the Christmas toys get boring....

Mommy was so excited (read nervous, choked up) that she had to leave Sunday school to go peek in on her little boy sitting in Primary like he thought he was supposed to be grown up or something. Quite a note for the journal. He's not a baby anymore even if he does give the best snuggle-bug hugs!

Halloween

Not much to note about the pumpkins....except Conner thought the seeds were "eww Gross..." no need to mention that last year they were the funnest part. Oh and that Conner decided how his pumpkin face should be. In case you were wondering, well, Steve's pumpkin is a Ninja Turtle....go figure!

Ask me how determined a three year old can be about what he wants to dress up as...First it was Elmo, because he likes Elmo and we had an Elmo costume. But then he saw my FamilyFun magazine and wanted me to make him the dragon costume they had a picture of. It was a cardboard monstrosity....cute and fun....but what a headache. I didn't know how to tell him that Mommy didn't want to pull all her hair out and be bald for Halloween. So thankfully we were at Rachel's and he saw a costume ad in her paper. He was looking at all the dressed up kids and out of the blue said he wanted to be Batman and even sang the "Nananana...BATMAN!" song. Don't ask me how he knew it. He is just a quick one I guess. So then he was determined to be Batman....ask his mom how much fun it was to figure out what we were going to do about that. I hadn't seen any Batman outfits small enough and nothing was going to deter him. Once again Aunt Rozy came to the rescue. She said she had a little Superman costume so we went to her house to try it on. And out of the wonderful basement of treasures came a DINOSAUR outfit. An Aladar no less (for those who are clueless...like me....Aladar is the one from DINOSAURS movie)....and so we were set. He was so excited and he was so cute. From the side or back you couldn't even see his little face. We sent fun pics to all the grandmas. Plus it was warm....always a bonus in the frigid cold. Pic coming soon....

Late nights, poopy diapers, a baby...

....oh my, not ours....but almost as fun. Rachel had her baby around the first part of October. She needed some help, imagine that. So Conner and I went on another adventure. We first had an all day car trip. Then we had a fun week helping take care of Rachel and little baby Rylie. Conner loved her...literally. Every chance he could he would say, "I want my mommy to hold baby Rylie" and then he would come and sit by me so he could hold her. He was really good with her and she was a really good baby, maybe because she is so big... 9lbs 1 oz when she was born. We were both sad to leave. But it was back to our home duties we went.
