Thought I would make a glossary of the names in this blog....mostly because Conner has his own unique names for everyone and for lots of things. It's funny how when you are a mom, all of a sudden you forget how to talk and begin to say things exactly as your two year old does :)
Bomma - my mom, Conner's version of Grandma
Bompa - my dad, Conner's version of Grandpa
Leesee la la - say it exactly like it looks, Conner's version of my sister's name
Chapicks - chapstick, which he loves & occassionally does more than wear, especially the future true aggie kind which is yummy flavored
Juicy - we told Conner that a peach was juicy once and now just about everything that is even remotely wet is juicy
Kids - anyone that isn't adult. try "Mom, where's the kids?" Or "What are the kids doing?" Sometimes I have to figure out which kids he is talking about....it could be the ones clear across the store or the little neighbor boys he played with yesterday
"What you doing?" - means 1-first words on the phone or 2-"Whatever you are (doing/eating/looking at/holding), I want you to let me (do/eat/look at/hold). You better let me do/eat/look/hold very soon but please don't just answer the question or I might freak out

Summer time fun...
We we've had some adventures the past couple of weeks....
We went boating with Rozy & Boys, and Bomma/Bompa, Grandma Dorothy and Leesee-lala and Jordan... Conner and I went on the tube and well, we got bucked out...mommy tipped us both over backwards...he wasn't quite sure how he felt about that, but he remembers it and tells people about how the tube flipped us over and how he was wearing his lifejacket....then he helped Rozy drive the boat and flipped mommy out of the tube. He is pretty proud of himself for that
We saw Cars on opening day and again this last week with the kids at Bomma's house. He loves Lightening McQueen and Mater (for non-Cars folks, that is the red car and the tow truck you see in the previews). He notices them at every store. He got a few of the Cars from McDonalds Happy Meals but we are still looking for anything McQueen or Mater related...too bad so is every other mom out there. I didn't realize it could be so popular...but it really is marketing genius. Make a movie about Cars that is even mediocre and then sell the merchandise because what little boy doesn't love toy vehicles of any kind, made even better by watching a show about them.
As for fireworks, well, Conner thinks they are great fun....he especially liked throwing the little poppers at people's feet. He wasn't a fan of the loud noises of the big ones so we watched them in the car. But he loved the little ones that we did at Bomma's house.
